COMMUNITY EVENTS AT MOKSHA YOGA MAPLE
The warm weather has arrived which means more outdoor activities!
We would love for you to join us for another fun MOKSHA SOCIAL for a group hike with a picnic lunch to follow at Thornton Bales Conservation Area. You may have heard of this awesome trail before, nicknamed “The 99 Steps”, located just off Mulock Sideroad, 3km West of Highway 11. We will meet at 10:30am and then leave for our hike at 11am. Our last outdoor social was an absolute blast that we are pumped to enjoy another day having fun in the sun with our sangha.
Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org if you can make it so we have an idea of how many people to expect.
This year will be bigger than ever to celebrate our 5th year hosting this fundraising event! We will have 2 yoga classes instead of 1. Some amazing vendors, henna & flash tattoos available, snacks & refreshments and more. Registration will begin at 10:00am and the first 50 people to arrive will receive an awesome swag bag!
We will start the day with a 75 minute Moksha Flow class at 11:00am led by Sara R. with DJ Carmelinda, followed by a 60 minute Moksha Music class at 12:30pm led by Jackie.
This year we will be giving back to CAMH (Centre For Addiction & Mental Health). We will also be rewarding the Top Fundraiser with a 6 Month Pass to our studio. Purchase your ticket for a $20 minimum donation per person to attend this event (can participate in one or both classes). Tickets are on sale at the studio or from one of our staff, teachers or EE’s by cash only.
Save the date and join us for a day of yoga under the sun to support good health and happiness in our community and around the world.
A mala (the Sanskrit name for ‘garland’) is a set of beads traditionally worn and used for meditation. Malas are typically made of 108 beads (108 being a sacred number in many Eastern cultures) and serve to keep count of the wearers affirmations by focusing their awareness and staying mindful in the present moment.
Explore the therapeutic energy by creating and practicing your own mala during a 2.5 hour workshop. Inspired by tradition, you will be guided through making your own mala and how to use it to recite an affirmation or mantra. As you create, you will have the opportunity to infuse your mala with the power of your intention! A variety of materials including wood, seeds and or gemstones will be used. All mala materials are provided – just bring yourself and your mat.
Space is limited at only 21 spots. Sign up early to reserve your spot in this workshop.
